University of Melbourne Old Quadrangle

bluebottle is proud to have supplied and programmed the Philips Dynalite lighting control system for the recent renovation of the university’s oldest building, the Old Quadrangle (Old Quad).

Original construction commenced in 1854, with additions and renovations over the years reflecting the changing purpose and function of the spaces. The latest renewal celebrates the building’s cultural history, with the the north wing entrance foyer housing the permanently installed Towards a glass monument by Tom Nicholson. Along side sits the Treasury space, an exhibition venue which has opened with Maree Clarke’s Ancestral memory, a work telling the story of water on the lands of the Kulin Nation. The first level houses a new gallery space and the old library has been upgraded to host functions and meetings. SEE MORE
