bluebottle’s work at Gate 8 shows what can happen when lighting is treated as part of the digital infrastructure of a building. Using a Signify Dynalite system built on DALI, every lighting address, group and control point is exposed into a smart building platform via BACnet. That means the lighting network isn’t just controlled, it becomes a data layer within the wider building ecosystem.
The result is real-time insight, analytics and optimisation across the building, with lighting fully integrated alongside other systems rather than operating in isolation.
