Australian War Memorial | ANZAC Hall, ACT

bluebottle continues its work at the Australian War Memorial, delivering the highly adaptable lighting control framework for the new ANZAC Hall. This monumental space is purpose-built to chronicle profound chapters of service, housing exhibitions that range from the historic Australians in Bomber Command 1939–45 to contemporary displays like Conflict in the Middle East from 1990.

To bring these diverse narratives to life, we integrated a multi-tiered control network that offers total curatorial freedom. Precision Ljusdesign spotlights and CAN RGBW fixtures, supplied by SLD, were commissioned to expertly sculpt the exhibitions. To ensure the galleries can evolve without the need for physical rewiring, Casambi wireless technology was implemented, allowing individual fixtures to be repositioned and reprogrammed on the fly.

This sophisticated network is underpinned by a site-wide Signify Dynalite backbone for unified infrastructure control. When exhibitions call for synchronised media, a Pharos controller manages the complex, dynamic timelines, perfectly blending light and AV to create an immersive, respectful, and sustainable visitor experience.
