bluebottle recently worked on Gangtey Lodge, set in the idyllic Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan, working at high altitude, 3,000m above sea level. With 17th century Buddhist connections and surrounded by monasteries—Gangtey Lodge is a true hidden gem.
Given its remote location and the historically sensitive nature of the building and area, our client, The Flaming Beacon, took a considered approach which saw the removal of previously used halogen lighting—allowing enhancements to be energy efficient, while also honouring the old ambient feel which the previously-used lights had once provided.
These lighting enhancements were made throughout the main restaurant and hotel suites. We provided a Philips Dynalite full control system upgrade, the supply of bulbs with numerous brands such as Soraa, and a rigorous testing procedure in conjunction with The Flaming Beacon, ensuring a streamlined installation and issue-free future.
Upgrades were paramount not only for the efficient running of the hotels lighting system, but also to eliminate any long delays in getting parts into this remote area.
